3/9/18 – ProSkills is proud to share that instructor Logan Day (Seminole, Fla.) has signed an amateur tryout contract (ATO) with the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL) for the remainder of the 2017-18 season. Day is one of two D3 players that signed with Bakersfield, Colin Larkin of UMass-Boston also signed a ATO contract. It was announced by the organization earlier this week.
In 56 career games for the Endicott Gulls (2016-18), Day compiled 30 goals and dished out 48 assists for a total of 78 points to go along with 11 power play tallies, five short-handed goals, five game-winners, one hat-trick, and 83 blocked shots.
Day also leaves the program as its No. 2 all-time leading scorer, and ranks first in points among all defensemen in program history. Meanwhile, this season, Day is ranked second in points per game (15g, 23a, 38p | 1.46 P/GM) by defensemen in all of NCAA Division III. Day’s legacy with the program includes several accolades, highlighted by his CCC Player of the Year honors this season and his AHCA/CCM All-America selection in 2016-17.
